Model Planes. ..Come Fly with Me!

Building model planes has got to be one of the most exciting hobbies for a person who enjoys seeing their hobby in motion.  So, if you want to soar to new heights with your hobby, you've got to experience building model planes!

Model planes have been around for decades, first as replicas, gliders and even paper airplanes, and eventually including battery powered, gas powered and remote controlled model planes and even model helicopters too.If you think flying a kite high in the sky sounds like fun, then you should try flying model planes.  Go ahead, get your model plane kit and assemble it. 

These days, you can get some nice model planes for relatively cheap.  But for a few hundred dollars you can really pick out a lean, mean flying machine, likely to be remote controlled with break-away wings or propellers that easily snap back together onto your model toy after likely collisions with trees, and walls, etc.  Or, you can enjoy the thrill of having your very own gas powered model helicopter.  Out of all the model aircraft many feel this seems the most realistic.  When those whirlybirds take-off and hover, it can be hard to believe that you're not looking at the real thing.

There are so many accessories available for your model planes.  These days, you can visit a model plane blog for ideas before you purchase or build a runway for your model planes, or even a helipad for your model helicopter.  Some model planes come without designs or decals so you can paint or sticker them yourself and add your own personal touch to this hobby, while other model planes come fully decorated right out of the box.
